Corey has been learning French with Alex for three years now. In just an hour a week, he has learned a tremendous amount of things. The material that Alex has created is simply amazing, teaching kids the difference between textbook pronunciation and pronunciation as it is in France. That alone makes a big difference.

A Team that Speaks to You
Ana Gonzalez was born and raised in Spain. She became fascinated by English at an early age, and devoured every single English book she could lay her hands on. Ana quickly became perfectly bilingual, mastering all aspects of both Spanish and English: grammar, pronunciation and the most useful idiomatic expressions that only native speakers manage to master. In 2007, she obtained a Masters degree in Spanish Linguistics and taught at San Diego State University for two years. Ana went on to teach Spanish at Georgetown University for another three years before moving back to Spain to obtain a second Masters Degree in Teaching Spanish as a Second Language. After teaching Spanish in a Spanish school located in the Netherlands for over a year, she decided to teach Spanish online. She has been teaching children and adults all around the world ever since. Ana is not a Spanish teacher like any other. She has largely contributed to the creation of our Spanish method, and I do believe it is a privilege to learn Spanish with her.
After obtaining a Masters degree in French & English in France, Alexandre moved to California to teach French at UC Irvine and at Le Lycee Francais de Los Angeles. He started a tutoring business, teaching French, Spanish and ESL and got involved with a lot of homeschoolers. His private lessons turned into group lessons, and he then decided to found Language City. Alexandre does not see himself as a mere teacher but as a linguist whose passion has allowed him to find secrets to languages that others are still looking for. His former students include the daughter and grandson of French President Chirac.
Brian is one of the most gifted, dedicated and passionate Chinese teachers you will ever find. As an American, he has achieved what many of us wish we could achieve at some point in our lives: become fluent in Mandarin Chinese. Brian earned a BA degree in Chinese Language Culture from a university in Maryland, and set sail for China where he spent five years. Brian studied at Fudan University and at Beijing University and went on to work in the field of renewable energy in Beijing for three years. Having done the hard work of learning Chinese himself, there is no better teacher to give you all the secrets of the Chinese language. We feel honored to have Brian work with us at Language City.
Stacey has been homeschooled all her life and took two years of Spanish with Emily. Her method was absolutely wonderful with pictures, colors to identify each part of the sentence in English and in Spanish: very easy to understand. Language City is a wonderful place to learn a foreign language.
Laura, mother of Stacey:
My daughter is a gifted homeschooler who so happened to be very interested in Chinese culture at an early age. She started learning with Harmony at 13, and is still learning with her at the age of 16. Harmony has done a great job. Of course, Lisa studies quite a bit in between lessons, but she loves it. She wants to take the AP exam next year.
